In order to distribute the large quantities of food safely and efficiently, we rely on packing pallets for distribution. This position would require that you lift boxes of food and drinks with varying weights and sizes on to pallets. These pallets are picked up by our partner agency in rural parts of Missouri and Illinois the following Friday morning.
Physical requirements: The Agency Distribution packer position requires lifting, bending, and standing for up to 1.5 hours. Volunteers must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 20 lbs. This volunteer opportunity takes place in Operation Food Search's warehouse.
Training: Training for position will be conducted on-site.
