Operation Backpack provides weekly food bags to get students through the weekend when school meals are not available. Participating children are discreetly given these backpacks to take home, enabling them to come back to school on Monday with the good nutrition and focus they need to achieve academic success.
This volunteer opportunity is to help distribute food to our partners that are picking up the food. (PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT AN OPPRUNITY TO DISTRIBUTE FOOD TO CHILDREN).
Volunteers will be loading loading boxes of milk and cereal into organizations cars/trucks as they show up in Operation Food Search's parking lot. This does require heavy lifting.
