Great news! Operation Food Search has a few volunteer opportunities available at offsite locations. One is listed below:
On Saturday, July 25, Operation Food Search (OFS) will come together with our local family-owned grocery stores, Schnucks and Straub's Markets, to host Shop Out Hunger (formerly known as Saturday Jubilee), a region-wide food drive to help heal summer hunger in our community.
Many volunteers are needed to position themselves outside of the grocery stores throughout the St. Louis bi-state area to encourage shoppers to donate food as they shop on Saturday, July 25 from 10 AM - 2 PM. Must be 18 years+. All volunteers must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
We are seeking 2 volunteers per store and per shift. The stores will allow 1 person at the entrance and 1 at the exit. The shifts will be 10 AM - 12 PM OR 12 -2 PM or 10 AM-2PM. All materials that will be needed for Shop Out Hunger, can be picked up at Operation Food Search the week prior.
