On Saturday, August 16, Operation Food Search (OFS) will team up with the local grocery store industry to host Shop Out Hunger, a region-wide food drive to help heal summer hunger in our community.
Operation Food Search needs Volunteer Help to help collect donations outside of 140 grocery stores throughout the St. Louis bi-state area to ask shoppers to donate food as they shop on Saturday, August 16th from 10 AM - 2 PM. This is a great volunteer opportunity for a church group, corporate group, or family to get the kids involved! We do our best to match your group with a grocery store close to your neighborhood.
We are seeking individuals and groups of 4-6 volunteers. If you have a group, simply assign a store captain that will coordinate the group and choose a shift (10 AM - 12 PM OR 12 -2 PM OR 10 AM-2PM). There is no expense for your group! All necessary materials will be available for pickup at Operation Food Search.
