Join us at Green St. Louis Machine, a greenhouse in St. Louis City. We will be harvesting greens and herbs grown on hydroponic towers. Along with other, hydroponic and greenhouse maintenance tasks with other allotted time. This is a great opportunity to learn about hydroponic produce production in the area.
Gleaning is harvesting crops from the farm that would otherwise go unused and donating them to individuals and families within Operation Food Search's network of food pantries.
Dress Code:
- Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
- Be mindful of the weather forecast and dress accordingly: rain jackets, water resistant shoes like work boots or hiking shoes are recommended
- Closed-toe shoes are required. Please no sandals or flip flops
Volunteers under the age of 16 are allowed but must be accompanied by an adult.
