In order to distribute the large quantities of food safely and efficiently, we rely on packing pallets for distribution. This position would require that you lift boxes of food and drinks with varying weights and sizes on to pallets. These pallets are picked up by our partner agency in rural parts of Missouri and Illinois the following Friday morning.
Physical requirements: The Agency Distribution packer position requires lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time. Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, lift 20-60 lbs. This volunteer opportunity takes place in Operation Food Search's warehouse that does not air conditioning.
Training: Training for position will be conducted on-site.
