Overview:
Operation Food Search (OFS) receives an assortment of donated produce weekly. This produce is distributed by OFS to our 200 community food agencies such as pantry's and shelters to provide nutritious food to families at no cost.
Volunteer Task:
Volunteers are needed to help organize the produce into boxes that go out to OFS community food agencies.
- Make sure each box has a variety of product
- Inspected for past expiration dates, mold, and/or other reasons for composting or put in trash.
- Neatly stack the boxes of produce and other items on a pallet
- Create more boxes as needed
- Clean area, sweeping, taking trash to dumpster
Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for 2 hours
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds
- Closed toed shoes, sandals are not permitted
- Please wear casual clothes
- You will be in a warehouse
At this time everyone at Operation Food Search is required to wear a mask and do a health screening when entering the building.
