April Showers Collection Sites

The Girl Scouts of Eastern MO will collect personal care items from our community and Operation Food Search will distribute them to children and families!  April Showers will take place on Saturday, April 24, 2021.

We are looking for volunteers to help us pack up April Showers donations on Saturday, April 24^th, from 9:15 am – 2 pm.

 The volunteer project will be outside at 7 different donation drop off sites that are listed below. We will need 6 volunteers at each site from 9:15 am – noon and 12 pm – 2 pm.

 The tasks of the team will be to:

• take the personal care items from the Girl Scout leaders’ cars
• place the items in boxes
• lift (30-35 lb) packed boxes and place boxes on pallets
• shrink wrap the pallet of boxes (an OFS staff member will place the pallet of boxes in the truck)

 The event will go on with rain, shine, snow, or any other kind of weather!  OFS and the Girl Scouts take the safety of staff, volunteers, and the community very seriously. All volunteers will be required to wear masks, and social distance.
