Volunteer Task:
Distribution Host
As a Distribution host, you will assist with tracking our outgoing food. Your role will involve interacting with agency drivers, confirming their pick-up details, and recording details of their pickup. This is an important role that helps ensure our partners receive the correct items to distribute to families in need.
Tasks include:
- Greeting agency drivers and confirming the items they are picking up
- Recording the details of the food items being picked up
- Assisting with coordinating the flow of pick-ups
Important information:
- You will not be expected to lift or move any products.
- This role will be in a warehouse and/or outdoor environment, so please dress appropriately for the weather.
- Wear closed-toed shoes; sandals are not allowed for safety reasons.
- Casual clothing is recommended as it may get dirty in the warehouse setting.
- Feel free to bring a water bottle; we have a fountain available to refill it.
- This role is from 7:30 - 11:30 am.
Your involvement directly supports our mission to feed 200,000 people each month, ensuring that our agency partners have what they need to help families in need!
All volunteer groups include a tour of Operation Food Search's facility.
