Program Description
With the help of volunteers, like you, Operation Food Search can heal hunger and strengthen our future by providing food for children and families. We distribute more than 3.4 million dollars worth of food and household essentials to 330 community partner agencies, which in turn feeds 200,000 people in need each month.
Additional Details
Gleaning is rescuing fresh food from farms that would otherwise be unharvested or wasted. Produce is gathered in the fields or picked up after the harvest and is quickly distributed to food-insecure individuals and families in the region.
Gleaning is happening all across the country, and it is now an active program in the greater St. Louis area.
